Super proud of myself

Updated: Aug 4, 2019

Today I put myself out therešŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

.

I went to my first job interview in over 3 years! I was shaking nervous and fumbling my words but the panel LOVED me! They called me back with an offer in less than 2 hours! I was so shocked and honored lol I feel so proud of myself.

I sadly had to decline the offer as it was for an evening time frame that doesn’t work with my family schedule. That might sound weird to some. Like why would you turn down a job if you need extra money? Well because my main job is being a mom to my 3 kiddos and a wife to my husband. I’ve done the full time job while juggling my family life and responsibilities. It doesn’t work for me or for my family. It actually makes things worse because of Bryan’s military schedule. I need to be off at least half the day to make sure my kids are looked after and that other errands are taken care of. We are quite lucky that Bryan’s job provides enough for our family. The money from my job would be more of a cushion for our family. If having extra money means my family gets thrown for a loop, I won’t do it.

Had the hours I needed been offered then yes I probably would have taken the job. I have huge respect for working moms, my mom was a working mom my whole life. It’s hard balancing everything and that’s something I can’t do. So if you can, hats off to you momma. I was just glad I got out there and tried! I know I can still do this adult job thing (lol). I’m confident when my babies are all in school that I can go back to work. Iā€˜m happy with that.
